Course Accreditation  – Handicap Certificate

Basically the handicap certificate is the first step to becoming a golfer here in Austria. You could compare the handicap certificate to a driving licence. In the course of the certificate training, which includes a final exam, you will be instructed in the most important fundamentals of the game.

Tournament Accreditation

In order to play tournaments players who pass the handicap certificate exam have to also pass the tournament accreditation exam according to the ÖGV regulations.

Golf Club Membership

Unlike other sports in order to play golf you have to be a member of a club. Your membership is your personal entry ticket to every golf club in the world.

The Golf Club Salzburg offers all participants who successfully complete the handicap certificate course, a free Europa Guest Membership for the current year.

With a membership you have the following benefits:

Handicap management - this enables you to take part in tournaments and thus your handicap classification.

The right to play at your member clubs of Fuschl and Rif

Further golfing pleasures - with a membership in an official golf club you can play on any golf club in the world except private clubs of course) A playing fee or green fee will be charged.
